URGENT Call to Action: Tomorrow (Monday 6/6) call and demand that Mayor Kenney includes $10M in the budget to buy back the remaining US Bank Lien lots!
Because of our activism, we’ve stopped the sale of hundreds of side lots and gardens since September. City Council will save the lots but Mayor Kenney hasn’t approved the budget. The Mayor has the power to include $10M in the City budget to buy these lots back from US Bank and preserve these crucial community spaces. The budget is due THIS WEDNESDAY.
Call Script: “Hello Councilmember ___, my name is ___ I live at ___ and I’m urging the city to buy back the US Bank Liens to protect sideyards, community gardens and open spaces. Please ask the mayor to put $10M in the budget to save the US Bank Lien lots from Sheriff Sale.”
En Español: “Hola concejal ___, mi nombre es ___ Vivo en ___ e insto a la ciudad a que vuelva a comprar los gravámenes del US Bank para proteger los patios laterales, los jardines comunitarios y los espacios abiertos.
